The Thesis is devoted to the study of the applicability of additive manufacturing (AM) technology in particle accelerator manufacturing, highlighting product quality requirements that are significantly higher than in other industries and that have so far prevented the penetration of AM technology in this market segment. The work addresses the design, fabrication and testing of the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) prototype, from RFQ Q-factor enhancement and design concept through to final metrological testing, with the exception of radio-frequency tests, which were not within the scope of this study.
