Description
The monograph examines and analyses sets of measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the energy, transport, waste management, industry, agriculture, and forestry sectors, for which all countries of the world carry out annual inventories for the UN report. An audit of GHG emissions has been carried out for each sector, measures to reduce these emissions and technological solutions have been analysed, and the sustainability of the impact on climate change has been assessed. The aim of the monograph is, based on the results of scientific research, to explain the contribution of Latvian economic sectors to climate change mitigation, as the country moves towards sustainable development and climate neutrality.
