Ance Ansone was born in Riga in 1993. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (2015) from Riga Technical University RTU) and a double Master’s degree in Environmental Science from RTU and in Environmental Engineering from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in 2017. Since 2014, her professional experience has developed in the fields of energy, sustainable development, and the transition to renewable energy resources. She gained professional experience at the RTU Institute of Energy Systems and Environment and at the Energy Market and Infrastructure Department of the Ministry of Economics, specialising in gas market, infrastructure, and energy policy issues. Since 2020, she has been working in the Business Development Division of JSC “Conexus Baltic Grid”. Her professional activities are related to international cooperation, gas market development, and promoting the integration of renewable gases. Her research interests focus on the sustainability of biomethane, its integration into the existing energy system, and the role of renewable gases in the development of accessible and sustainable energy infrastructure.
