The Thesis developed a methodology and a tool to assess a road pavement project’s sustainability (environmental and economic). The methodology and the tool are based on life cycle techniques. The developed methodology and tool were applied inthe Thesis to assess the environmental and economic parameters of different materials and technologies. The evaluated materials and technologies were very thin asphalt wearing course (BBTM), ethylene-octene-copolymer bitumen modifier, crumb rubber modified bitumen, red mud as bitumen modifier, fly ash as a hydraulic binder for the road base, and lastly, reconstruction technologies.
