Exhibition in Memory of Professor Ivars Strautmanis (12.10.2022 ‒ 16.12.2022)

The digital edition was compiled on the basis of the materials of the exhibition in memory of Professor Ivars Strautmanis (12.10.2022 ‒ 16.12.2022) in order to preserve its scenography and exhibited works, brightening the overall mood by contemporary video scenes.

The multifaceted personality of Ivars Strautmanis was realized in a wide range of professional fields and interests – he was an architect, urban designer, architectural theorist, educator, public figure and patron.  Professor Strautmanis encouraged architecture students to think conceptually.

Strautmanis’ belief in the importance of the architect’s work, his professional passion and search for novelty are further pursued by his students, many of whom have become prominent representatives of the profession.
