The aim of the Thesis is to analyse and optimize the aerodynamic characteristics of the material and ventilation elements that will be developed based on the type of clothing in order to achieve a proper balance of air permeability, mechanical and functional characteristics for protection against external environmental factors. The work is focused on creating ventilation elements that can be fixed at the ventilation holes on the inner side of protective clothing. The attached ventilation elements can improve the structural integrity of the clothing by covering the ventilation holes and restricting dust, direct sunlight, insects, and other contaminants from direct contact with the body; at the same time, it permits proper air circulation between the body and clothing. To achieve the aim, various shapes of ventilation elements are created and evaluated to determine the most effective shape.
