The Doctoral Thesis investigates social inclusion and quality of life in services for persons with intellectual disabilities. The study develops and applies the Q-VAD assessment tool, designed to evaluate living conditions through dimensions of quality of life, support needs, and life opportunities. Initially validated in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region (Italy), the tool was later adapted and applied in Latvia. The research examines relationships between service characteristics, social inclusion, and quality of life, identifying factors that promote or hinder participation and well-being in residential and day care services.
