One of the essential aspects in the design of timber floors is to ensure that the effects expected during the operation of the structure do not cause vibrations, which can worsen the operation of the structure or cause discomfort to people. Often, vibration checks for timber floors are decisive, especially in the case of light timber structures. These guidelines summarize information and numerical calculation examples for vibration checks of timber floors according to the second-generation Eurocode. Methodological guidelines will serve as a valuable aid for students of RTU Civil Engineering specialities in practical work in the subject “Timber structures”, as well as in the development of study works and project works.
