Within the framework of the Doctoral Thesis, an improved wear intensity and linear wear calculation model for a sliding friction pair was developed, which includes specified 3D and 2D roughness parameters of the contact surface, as well as material fatigue characteristics for elastic and plastic contact cases. During the study, surface roughness measurement experiments with further computer processing, analytical expression of roughness parameters, calculations of their determination accuracy and integration of roughness parameters into the wear and wear intensity calculation model were performed, the application feasibility of which was substantiated experimentally by performing tests on a tribometer.
