Multidimensional Assessment of Structural Joint Integrity via Axis-Matched Response Correlation Enhanced by Time-Reversal Impact Focusing
Summary of Doctoral Thesis
The Doctoral Thesis, prepared as a set of publications, develops and experimentally validates a synchronised multidimensional diagnostic approach for structural joint integrity assessment. It integrates paired three-dimensional acceleration measurements on opposite sides of a joint, controlled multidimensional excitation based on time-reversal wave-focusing principles, synchronised excitation and sensing channels, per-axis coherence evaluation, and fusion of directional indicators into a single scalar metric, validated through bolt-torque reduction over eight stages.
