Viktors Kurtenoks was born on 2 December 1969 in Tukums. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree (1991) and a Master’s degree (1992) in Computer Engineering from Riga Technical University (RTU). From 2001 to 2008, he worked as a senior software/hardware/firmware designer at Artann Laboratories (Trenton, USA). He is currently Chief Technical Officer at Eventech Ltd, one of the leading developers of event timers and time taggers, and Chief Technical Officer leading full-cycle development at his own companies Digits Ltd and Juvitek Ltd; he also works at RTU. He is a doctoral student in the Doctoral Study Programme “Civil Engineering” at RTU. His expertise covers full product development from idea to functional unit, high-speed digital, analogue and mixed-signal electronics, ultra-fast ICs (ADC, DAC, memory), DSP, microcontrollers and FPGA/CPLD design in VHDL.
