Adaptive Building Facade Systems with Thermal Energy Storage

Description
This Thesis presents the development of an adaptive solar facade system integrating phase change materials for thermal energy storage and evaluates its impact on building energy efficiency under both laboratory and real climatic conditions. Experimental investigations and numerical simulations were applied throughout the research. The results demonstrate that the developed technology can reduce indoor temperature fluctuations and decrease heating and cooling energy demand.
