The monograph discusses the most common data preprocessing methods for successful data analysis and provides basic concepts of data analysis. Operations with missing data are discussed in detail, paying attention to the identification of various types of data anomalies, discretisation and normalisation of data attribute values. During the preparation process, it is often necessary to convert data into other formats for more convenient further analysis. The material is supplemented with appendices, which discuss concepts necessary for a more complete understanding of the content. Formal descriptions of data analysis methods are supplemented with detailed examples that explain the essence and principles of operation of each method. This material is intended for students and researchers of computer science and information technology study programs of various levels who need to perform data analysis and preparation for their further use in various applications of statistical or artificial intelligence methods.
