The bioisosteric replacement of a hydrogen atom with a fluorine atom in the molecular structure of drug molecules often improves their physicochemical properties resulting in improved biological activity. In the literature, special attention has been devoted to the development of monofluorinated building blocks due to their potential application to access valuable fluorinated products. The aim of the Doctoral Thesis is the development of new, effective and practical fluoromethylene group transfer reagents, as well as the development of new methods for the synthesis of fluorinated building blocks. The main results of the Doctoral Thesis were summarized in 5 scientific publications, 1 review and 1 article in the encyclopedia of chemical reagents.
