Gallium Containing Calcium Phosphates
Doctoral Thesis
Description
In the doctoral thesis, gallium-containing hydroxyapatite (HAp) and amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) were synthesised. Their physicochemical properties and antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were evaluated. The effect of gallium on ACP thermal stability and stability in aqueous media was analysed. GaHAp ceramics obtained by high-temperature sintering were also studied. Gallium-induced structural changes in HAp and possible substitution sites in the crystal lattice were analysed using Profex software.
