Providing feedback is an integral part of the learning process that ensures an effective teaching process. Therefore, the aim of the doctoral thesis is to develop in theory and practice-based a model of the student’s reflective learning process after the teacher’s feedback for the improvement of the learning process. The work includes an analysis of the theoretical aspects of feedback and reflection, as well as their constitutive elements. By evaluating the impact of reflection and feedback on student learning and performance improvement, the pedagogical prerequisites that facilitate the use of student reflection practices in the learning process are described. The development and validation of a model of student reflection in the learning process following teacher feedback has been implemented. The results of this work can be utilized in both schools and higher education institutions, not only in Latvia but also in the European Union.
