The book has been written for the study course “Numerical Methods”, which is offered to all second-year bachelor students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the Riga Technical University. The following basic problems of numerical analysis are considered in the book: solution of systems of linear algebraic equations, interpolation, approximation, solution of nonlinear equations and systems of nonlinear equations, solution of the Cauchy problems for ordinary differential equations. The book can also be used by students of other faculties and universities, as well as by representatives of industry who are interested in computer realization of numerical methods and applications in engineering.
